LED lighting reduces the use of incandescent, halogen, compact fluorescent, and linear fluorescent lamps which are all less energy efficient than LEDs. They use 90% less energy than Incandescent and halogen lamps which are most commonly used globally even though they have the lowest luminous efficiency.
